I make decission, becouse after years of searching used luggage carrier. Used aftermarket rack is extremaly hard to get, new from japan very expensive, so I buy used Hepco&becker rack from diffrent motorcycle (looks like pegaso 650 part) and rebore to my CRM :), what color is best for this part becouse is not painted yet.

Here are the results of my work :)

Looks good.
Nice work adapting the rack to your CRM.

I think satin black is good. Easy to spray on and easy to look after.

Hi, sorry to drag up an oldish thread, but I've got a rack off my old GPZ 550 that I want to put on my CRM, so far it looks like this as a brief mock-up

Mines a MK3 as well, I was wondering if you could tell me where it actually bolts to and the measurements because it looks very similar to the rack I have and would like to fit in the same place, it gets in the way a bit just lipping over the rear of the seat. I'd quite like to have it as a bit of a touring set-up at some point, nothing too far afield.

Thanks!

I bought one of the expensive ones from Japan for my AR (now sold) but same as MK3. It bolts to the same bolts as the seat is fastened down to, and uses the holes through the back mudguard on the rear of the frame, some small cone shaped spacers fit into the recess on the back mudguard and keeps the rack a few mm off the mudguard.
