First to check would be to check where the ht lead goes in to the coil because they thinned the ht lead where it enters making it a weak spot , I changed my ht lead but you need some kind of silicone to hold it in place .

:!: :!: Generally speaking, if the coils at fault they start fine from cold, then the circuit breaks down as the temperature rises, then the engine stops, only to restart once cooled off.
Is there a a low voltage circuit reading?

Hi all

Still struggling with my AR, just checked the coil as the manual says. Primary coil measures 0.6 - 0.7 ( higher than the
manual says) Secondary reads nothing at all, with or without HT lead or cap. Does this mean it's dead?
thanks in advance

cheap alternative for the H.T coil is honda h100's ones they work perfect i run one on mine and when my friends one packed up in wales he was more than greatfull i had my spare with me. I payed a few quid for both off ebay even new there less than 20 quid

mine is a mark 2 so not 100% sure if coils are the same across all models.

Hi dave, quite strange this is the last post on the technical section because I've recently stripped and cleaned mine up including painting the frame but having got to the point of starting it I'm finding that the plug only sparks once in every 20 kicks roughly. When you take the plug out are you getting the same lack of spark?

I think I'm going to buy a cr125 ignition coil off eBay and see if that works. Let me know if you have any success and I'll do likewise.
