You can get exhaust 'blow out kits' for this (try racespec, offroad only and the like) - or you may find your local MX shop will do it for a few quid. I'm not sure you can do the standard pipes as they have all the crud in as above, but DEPs and the like should be OK.
I have done mine with a home ...

I wonder if I saw you down there?
I was there over the weekend of 16th/17th Oct, and came across a few other groups.
Still finding red mud on the bike!

Hi Nick,
Yep, there is a gasket between the expansion pipe and the block, and it's the sort that gets compressed as you tighten the mounting bolts, so it's unlikely you will get a good seal if you re-use it.
You could use the old one, but it will be a bit louder, and you might regret it if you stall ...

Thanks Phil,
I can stop being paranoid about my ECU being on the way out then!
Is the jetting just a case of trial and error, with a plug chop after each change?
I'm using a full DEP, standard jetting, and the oil pump set according to the manual.
Or maybe I just don't ride hard enough? (Sorry ...

Strange powervalve behaviour

Maybe it's always done it, and I haven't noticed, but I don't think so.
Anyway, lately my AR seems to briefly open the powervalve right up for a second or so, before closing it at again, just above tickover.

As I pull away, the exhaust note suddnely becomes a lot deeper (and a bit louder), the ...

You could try Bogbusters - a little cheaper @ £38 (but still to much for me!). I use the clear tuff stuff (of cuts from stuff I used to protect the plastics) and it seems to last.

Ah,
So what does the manual say - my (old) copy doesn't have a torque setting for the swingarm pivot - I just did it 'tight and then some'!

OK - so I'm a bit late on this one but my thoughts - based on limited experience....

The Grittys come in 2 compounds - I've only used the hard ones. Great off road, OK on the road, but have seem to have the wear characteristics of Edam. I'd reckon on about 2000Km with 50/50 on/off road use.

I've ...
