Hi Lee, Effing nightmare mate. Not there yet but I think I can see a light at the end of the tunnel. Got all gaskets from LT (£60ish), got piston, crank bearings and seals from UK Trailrides (£100ish). Gave them to mechanic mate who had real problem splitting engine by the way. Any way, got a call ...

Hi, I saw that item. Asked him if he had any forks but no reply.
I ordered the stuff today, crank bearings and seals, standard size piston and gaskets. :o
Sorted the DR too. Oil breather pipe was blocked. Now I'm hoping that there's no permanent damage.
When I get the CRM back in service I'll post ...

Hi, I dropped the engine off at my mates on Monday. I don't think he can do much till the weekend but while I was there we whipped the head off and by manipulating the flywheel, we got the piston to do full cycles. At first glance he reckoned it could be the 'main bearing'. Is that the crank bearing ...

Hi Ed, Shemston et al,
when I spin genny piston is moving therefore not seized. I've taken the clutch cover off and I can get some (not much) movement on kickstart shaft. I wouldn't have thought that is normal. Any road up, I'll take the engine out tomorrow or Sat am and a friend who's a mechanic ...

Thanks Lee_p, problem could be gears. Initial problem was when kickstart locked at mot station. Bike wasn't even running when this happened. After it freed by rocking bike back and forth, it was fine until it locked up after ride home. I was giving it some stick away from junction when it happened ...

The autolube idea seems more feasible the more I discuss it. It usually starts first or second kick but this morning it was a bit reluctant to fire. I just thought at the time it was because it had never had a decent run since putting it together. Sh*t! Dya think it's redeemable then or is it more ...

Hi chaps, is there anyone from the Durham area into crms and rides out. If there's room for another will you give me a shout. I've just finished my sprucing Mk 2 but unfortunately it expired on me today. Hopefully I won't be too long getting it sorted so any replies would be appreciated.

crm seizure
Hi all, Can anyone advise me with a problem. I mot'd my crm today. I got to the mot station after a 20mile ride on the motorway, bike running fine. When the guy from the station tried to kick me bike, the kickstart was locked. After a bit of rocking it freed and the bike sailed through it's mot ...
