Hi all and thank you for letting me join. Please excuse my ignorance to the crm250 but I have just brought a I believe a mk1. The previous owner told me there was a slight leak of two stroke oil and it was a common thing with these bikes but a easy fix?. I have taken the seat tank and side panels off and there is oil everywhere.there is a rubber grommet with what looks like a wire coming out of it on the frame. Could this be a clue? Thank you all Paul.

You've found the oil sensor.

They leak often to varying degrees. Could try sealants or glues as many have tried but no guarantee how long it will last
