ive just brought a new filler cap so will have to check it thanks again for the info

Pirelli, when you take the MAIN JET, BAFFLE AND EMULSIFIER TUBE out,(with carb upsidown) there should be a small tube with a raised ridge around it, under the emulsifier tube, that the slide needle slots into when you put the needle and slide back into the top of the carb. Also, if that small tube is missing, the slide will sit too high. When the small tube is fitted correctly, it should stick out a little to accept the needle. Hope you haven't lost it. Good luck. Hi Pirelli,
The part you've lost is a small silver piece of tube which sits between the emulsion tube and the carb body. ie at the opposite end of the main jet.
It tends to get lightly stuck in the body when you remove the main jet and emulsion tube then drops out when you least expect it.
Have a look on your floor. Its a silver, thin walled tube, about 10mm long and about 6mm diameter.
Pop it back in and it'll be fine.
