mates of mine, head up into the peak district, {i live in the foothills of the peaks, near lyme park } but on a good day they can traverse nearly over to sheffield, and back.
in TBM some firms offer guided tours ?
not sure if weekends only or not.

me and a mate sometimes go to a farm in wales called WernDdu...we usually take our trials bikes but i have thinking about taking the CRM
The farmer wants just 5 quid a bike to ride all day. it is not a huge place but there is plenty of stuff to play about on (climbs etc)

it is on the ruthin to corwen road so not too far( from us)
I will pm you next time we go and you can tag along if you want

that sounds interesting, i have no trailer so ride to offroad.......I think this would be too far in this weather. ....BUT good when its a little warmer. :P
when I go to manchester that is about as far as i want to ride to when its cold.
Its the ride back thats the killer when Ive been riding hard in deep/mud water...........it gets really cold on journey home.
I have been thinking of getting trailer with bro' in law when we have a bit of spare dosh :!:
