 Sweeeet i finally found some more australians with CRMs'! Im in Sydney and ive had my 2000 CRM250AR for 4months now. Ive been on a few good rides, Louees out west near Mudgee, and lower Wattagans. Im now getting a little bored with my near stock bike, im looking for a SERIOUS upgrade without buying a new bike. Does anybody have any hints about prety cheap parts or suggestions?? i also need to come accros a propper owners manual.......
I was also informed that the cr250 and xr250 have the same parts to swap over, is this true????

Catch ya out there!!

2000 AR - jammy git, i thought mine was the latest being a 1999 in black and red.
as for tuning, well if you can find any Mugen bits (hens teeth i should know as i have just got hold of a CDI and pipe) they will do the trick, but to be honest the AR will go on for many years and miles if looked after, so unless you fancy rebuilding every 2 or 3 years i would just add a pipe and reeds to make it snappier.

gidday paul, did you say you were from sydney? i come from a small town is queensland called gympie. i've got a 92' mk2 i've owned for about 3 months. ( and i agree, there should be more crm riders) if i had've known how versatile these things are , i would've bought one years ago. any good ride parks down that way? anyhow just a line to let ya know ya aint alone.
cheers rikkster.

I am in melbourne and I usually go riding out in the state forest's
but I read in the paper today that some fucking arsehole greenies are
going around the local forest that I go riding in and placing bits of timber on the roads with spikes sticking up and cloging up all the water run off's
so that all the roads wash away. I just want to know when the value of
A tree became more importent than a human life because with the crap there pulling someone is bound to get hurt. I 'm going riding this week so I hope I catch the bastards because I will use whats left of my rear tyre on there sorry excuse for a head

Paul,

I was hoping to go move to Australia because we are running out of places to ride in the UK, sounds like you have the same problems as us

had a few a***holes round our way lately, usually its just logs across the tracks but last night we went for a spin an one of the tracks had a branch across it between 2 trees at neck hieght  caught the top of my lid as i ducked under, could have been worse as with a low sun on our googles we may not have seen it. went back to move it and it was obvious it was put there on purpose. my answer is that i will go out of my way to use that track more and more if they keep doing it, thats the best way to piss them off :D

I'm positioned in Tenterfield, NSW. I'm surprised how people talk of a lack of CRM's in Australia, why the week i got mine (99AR) i found out a bloke up the road had a mk3, a fella in the next town in QLD had an AR, and whilst i was going out to the property for a ride another purple AR went past on the back of a ute. Must just be a concentration of perfection in this region eh?
Have any of you lads got any ideas on securing your bikes whilst they're sitting out the front of shops? The natives in Australia tend to have a nack for \"borrowing\" things and you end up finding them in the creek...
