:( Just found out that i cant get an ACU license to compete next year as i am taking a banned substance ( Bisoprolol Fumarate, a Beta Blocker) as part of my medication after i had a heart attack. Not just that, i have to declare to the ACU that i have had a heart attack and pay for a medical and an ECG on a treadmill with Bupa or smilar (Privately) for around £200 even if i wasn't taking the medication. What a load of bo**** So i'm fit to work 12 hour shifts with rail traffic carrying dangerous goods Commodities ( petrol, explosives etc), but i cant do a couple of rally's on my bike

But you're allowed to drive your car on a public road, with traffic going in both directions, and pedestrians on the pavements! Sorry to hear about this Gwyn, but it's all about the blame culture we live in. Everyone is scared of being sued rant, rant rant.............

Have they given you a time frame after you stop taking the medication?

Bummer Gwyn :o

I'm worried now as I was banned from driving for 12 months after I was ill. I wonder what is in store for me :? They have taken some classes off my driving licence - They say refer back to them in 10 years if I want them back !

Know what you mean Slider. But i was hoping to do a few Rally's, H&H and perhaps the odd Hill climb. Just thought a yearly licence would work out cheaper. But like my misses just said, "what they dont know, wont hurt them"

Sorry to hear your news Gwyn. :(

But at least you can ride for fun. :D

Make the most of it mate and build up your speed and fitness levels 'til the doc gives the all clear.

I'm still harnessed up like a bloody horse :( :(

Going to the local TRF meeting on Thursday, that's as near as I'll get to trailriding for quite a while yet.

All the best mate
