AR surging with closed throttle?

Post by SaffieD »

Hi guys

I picked up my AR last weekend and she's lovely but, having not owned one of these before, I'm not sure that this is right.... On a closed throttle, she surges / hunts which means she lurches - ie. not smooth on deceleration. The moment I start opening the throttle, she pulls smoothly. I had a yz250 years ago and from what I remember, deceleration was a smooth bbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Not a surging bbrrmm bbrrmm, bbrrmm, bbrrmm...... if you get my drift?

Any ideas :?:

when I had the carb off I saw the cable for the TPS and thought... "I don't remember disconnecting that..." Hunted around and found the matching plug for it on the top of the frame - plugged in and runs sweet now. Roll on next weekend 8)
