xr 650 speedo drive

xr 650 speedo drive

Has anyone ever fitted the speedo drive from xr650r ( 2000-2006) I can't see any differance looking at it on the two bikes side by side and the spindle size is the same :? however honda list differant part numbers for the two, any ideas chaps?

perhaps the gear ratio is different??,i was told by my local mx breakers that the xr4 are exactly the same and use the same clocks as a crm,worth looking into eh.

Thanks Slider, the xr400 does seem to have a lot of parts in common as does the old xr600L

Well, the gear ratio is wrong with the original CRM one anyway (km speedo). You can compensate for any arbitrary drive gearing by moving the stickers around :-)
