My first CRM - 91 Mk2 :)
My first CRM - 91 Mk2 :)
Hi everyone I've just bought a 91 Mk2 and I'm happy with it apart from the fact it seems to take a moment for the revs to drop after throttling off (when it's warm) - does anyone have any ideas please?
Otherwise it's in really good nick and runs fine - I can't wait to get it on the trail.

First check sticking throttle cable and/or carb slide. Way also be loose air boot from carb to engine.

Didn't we have a spate of these a while ago? i think on one of them it turned out to be inlet/reed boot had perished and was allowing air to enter when it warmed upknackeredMk1 wrote:First check sticking throttle cable and/or carb slide. Way also be loose air boot from carb to engine.

perhaps try spraying the inlet boot with some of that ignition water proofer will seal it for long enough to provide an answer.

Thanks guys, i'll get onto it tomorrow.
I also believe that it is something weakening the mixture. It seems to happen most after a 'full throttle' experience, so I'm going to check the float height to make sure the engine isn't using more fuel than the carb is letting through (I'll also check that the fuel tap isn't blocked).
I am sure ite is a momentary inbalance in the air/fuel mixture.
Also I will order a new carb rubber as well.
I appreciate your help
Westy.

their about £40 from LT are you sure you need it? check very closely condition of that currently on the bike first. If you do have to change it ,have a good check of reeds while your that far into bike, carb removal can be a ball breaker.westy66 wrote:Thanks guys, i'll get onto it tomorrow.
