oil leak

oil leak

noticed when i stopped today oil was all oer my back tire wheel chain swingarm
it appears to be comig out from inside the front sprocket cover
any ideas what it could be and cost of parts to sort out

Sounds like the oil seal behind the sprocket has gone west, it can be replaced, take of sprocket to gain access., carefully extract old seal , a search through back post will throw up a couple of ways of doing the job , and also the seal required , or a call to LT will provide the answers .

Or possibly gear shifter seal, again easy fix parts from Leisuretrail, or i can let you have the honda part number ( about £6 )

I had a sprocket leak and replaced the gear shifter seal while I was relacing the other.
figured I might as well do it while my hands were dirty and it's cheap enough.

You will save some pennies by getting the sizes and going to a bearing/seal shop.

it is the gear shifter seal
had a look earlier its got a little stone stuck in it somehow and pierced it
ordered a new one from lt maybe dearer but easier for me :D
hopefully have it up and runing again by thursday
