CRM 250 Mk1 Owner from New Zealand
Good Day
My name is Jonty Miller I from Christchurch, New Zealand. I bought a Mk1 very very cheap and I am slowly rebuilding the bike from the ground up! Being a Japan Import spare parts are hard to come by, therefore I am using parts from other bikes so what ever useful infomation I find out, I will share with everyone.
I started riding when I was ten on an old Yamaha DT50, the little sewing machine never died( it caught alight and started right afterwards, and had plenty HUGE wipeouts with it). I then progressed onto a YZ125 with loads of mods on it, it was a bastard to start but boy it was quick. I then moved onto a 1985 Honda XR500, what a beast, got sick of replacing tyres and plus we immigrated to New Zealand from South Africa therefore we sold all our bikes. In between those bikes I had a Kawasaki KX80 bored to 85cc, Honda CR80, Honda XR185 and XR200
At the moment our bike collection consisits of a 1991 Yamaha IT/DT200, a 1989 Suzuki DR200, a 1989 Honda CRM 250 and a 1999 Suzuki DR 350. All have been rebuilt and small modifications done to them.
I think that is about it
