Headlight
Headlight
I have just returned from my mot and it failed. The headlight has no beam pattern, the unit is the standard mk2 headlight. What have you guys done with yours to change it? Looking for a quick fix so I can get my retest.
Thanks in advance dom.

Re: Headlight
You don't need a working head light to pass an MOT. Put a bit of tape over the lens and it's a pass, just until you get the headlight sorted. Plus a standard mk2 light isn't that great at night anyway.

Re: Headlight
You have to block off all the lights to pass a 'day time' MOT.
Re: Headlight
yeah he did offer a daytime mot but i would prefer a full mot. so i think i will have to look for a new unit. maybey xr/xt something like that.

Re: Headlight
A 'day time' MOT is recorded as an MOT. There is no differenciation in the paper/computer work.
If you want an alternative almost any generic 'enduro' head light will do but they are very different in the light and pattern they give. I've got one of the best from TrailTech but you ahve to do quite a bit of alteration to get it to fit.
