Re: CRM mk2 running problem
Already noted down the jet sizes, they are: pilot jet 48 main jet 128
How do I note the needle position? Thereis only one mark showing when I look at it from underneath that I can see

[quote="fallenmikethebike"];) Yeah, they all do that, it's the generator working ;) I believe, if you can synchronise the hook up to the national grid you can claim a refund on your Electric Bill ;).

Sound is more often whirling, grumbling or squealing.

When you peeded off with the noise you might want to consider closer investigation.

It is kind of a whirling noise yes?
If I solve the problem of the flooding, I will get someone to video me riding around so you can hear the sound of it and see the problem that is happening.
Are the jets the right size for the bike? It has a FMF downpipe and DEP pipe ( whether that matters or not )

Re: CRM mk2 running problem
It's on the original jetting - http://www.crm250.com/specs.asp.
So fine, maybe a little on the rich side given the exhaust, but that is quite OK.

Re: CRM mk2 running problem
Ok I've sorted the flooding problem, put it all back together and it still has the same original problem.
I have taken a couple of quick videos to show the sound I mean of it ticking over and revving, and one of the main problem.
I only quickly done the video, so thats why I was only riding forward a bit in my garage, but tbh it does this no matter what the distance.

Excuse the leak on the floor that was when I was trying sort out the flooding problem

Long shot - Does the engine stop when you put your brakes on

Re: CRM mk2 running problem
I'll give it another go in a bit and see, when I started it earlier I left it ticking over for ages then sat on the bike and it cut off ( not sure whether I touched the brake or anything when I sat on it though ). I will investigate further in a bit.
What would that mean if it was when I put the brakes on?

Re: CRM mk2 running problem
You made me curious, so I just went into the garage, started it up then tapped the back brake, and it cut out. So I started it again and tapped the front brake and it cut out again.

Re: CRM mk2 running problem
Right after having a good look with a mate, whe've solved the cutting out problem. The was some dodgy wiring for the back light under the seat that kept earthing, so all done neatly with proper connectors now.
Took it out and it didn't cut off at all, came back into the garage and now the bloody clutch wont seem to engage. The cable is all ok, but doesn't engage inside. I will take it apart tomorrow and have a good look to see whats happened inside.

Re: CRM mk2 running problem
Some progress then
.
By 'not engage' what do you mean
. Have you got some freeplay on the clutch
.
Is it slipping or not disengaging/dragging
