hi people i just wondred if anyone has had a similar problem or knows what this is i recently rebuilt the top end of my crm
and now there is a ratteling comming from the engin it seems to be from the power valve ive had it to bits again and can see
nothing obvious is there some thing im missing in rebuilding the power valve seems to run fine apart from this ??
please help this is driving me mental lol

Take the side cover off and check it's operating within, normal, parameters

yea i done all that but the noise is still there and the valve has allways worked
it is quite audible at low revs and is increasing with the revs also altho the sound seems to quieten when reved
ps . on the right hand side in line with the powervalve is a hex bolt of some sort what is it for ?

so after reading this forum for like hours
i have the same wossner piston and bearings as i see othres have used
by cross refrencing part numbers ect i seem to have all the right bits in place
but still this drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr noise
ps : does no one know what this hex bolt on the right hand side of the barrel is for inline with the powervalve ???????????????????

Don't know what the hex head bolt is for but it might be a cover for some machining that was done to the cylinder

I have recently put a rebored barrel and piston onto my bike. It is more rattly than the other that I had on before and I've been over it in much the same way as I suspect you have. Beyond the issue of whether you have lost the little collar that goes on the 'non-lever' end of the PV shaft, all I can suggest is that some barrels are noisier than others, especially after they have been decarbonised

whitch makes me question it

im not a rich man but love my crm it has taken me to work and home and allot more for some 2 years now and allot of off road mountain climbs in nz i want it to run a few more
thanks tho im going to keep trying to work this out think ill strip it down again and go step by step and see if i cant eliminate
ps does anyone know where ot get the exust gasket from cant seem to get one here in new zealand

mine came from leisuretrail here in the uk, but try your local honda dealer with the part number 18291-KAE-870 and they may be able to get one for you
