Re: My new steed
They are still pretty good arn't they.
I've got a new Berg and there is no doubt the suspension is great but a trip out on Old faithful made me realise just how good the CRM is for trail riding.

I'm sort of, semi, in the market for a larg-ish, air cooled twin start trailly.
It's more than likely gonna have to be the XT 600.
I'm feeling really guilty about the mileage I'm putting on the dear old MK3.

Re: My new steed
Those tyres look less lethal than the ones on my off road wheels, what are they, and are they a good compromise for riding to the trail? BB.

Mike if you are looking for a big thumper don't rule out the XR650r They get some bad press for being hard to start but once you understand the drill it is no problem.fallenmikethebike wrote:interestingEddie Evans wrote:They are still pretty good arn't they.

The starting technique, is something about, don't touch the throttle, and relieving the pressure within the carb.
A dual start does sound more appealing, it's the old knee's you know
