Re: crm model??
Hi mate, should be mk3.
Id change the oil before you start i think, an i use silkolene gear oil. Have a search of the site, most of what you need to know is already here. After some explorin you'll find links for a downloadable service manual which will tell you what grade oils to use etc

Re: crm model??
The oil tank is not in the airbox on any standard CRM. Can you give me the complete frame number or at least the four numbers after the MD24. MD24 means it could be a Mk1,2 or 3 but not an AR.

The water/ coolant header, is behind the R/hand [again as sitting] rad.
You may want to have a browse in the model/search area, whilst answering a few questions is fine, tedious repetition of the same questions quickly loses it's giggle factor.

Re: crm model??
take it easy mate. Mike is just pointing out that the forum members have taken the time to compile a section for newbies as a 'one stop shop' for all the common questions about CRM. This makes is easy for newbies to find the info they need and it avoids the regulars having to repeat the same info time and time again - everyones a winner! No one has had ago about you asking about the location of the tank. It is just standard recommedation we make to all new members.
So welcome to the forum and we are all intrigued as to how you have the oil tank integral to the air filter...
Regards
SkidMark

+1. There is a section -'Honda CRM250 - FAQ....' that was made specifically to answer the kind of questions you asked. It shows willing on your part if you mention in your question that you have tried search or looking for an answer.

It does slightly pose the question though, what if we all thought "I've answered that question several times before, so I can't be arsed to respond to the question", would a stone wall silence be in some way a more friendly response
Possibly leaving people with the impression were a miserable bunch of Victors
Well a couple maybe

Re: crm model??
BTW it's a Mk3 - confirmed by PM of frame no.
Would like to see oil bottle in with air filter. Definitely not standard.

Hopefully he wasn't looking here faq.php for the FAQ, as I did when I first started on this site.

Re: crm model??
The guy said he put it there out of the way! it certainly is ! when i get how to do piccies ill put some on ,ill move it back to where its supposed to be far more easy to fill.I take your point about "same questions" ,but ,if all the answers were to be found there ,no-one would need a forum ,you wouldnt be talking ...................as i said the answer wasnt there so i asked ,i also would have thought that a member who is not far from me might have shown interest and offered help???got MOT Wednesday so could be out on Sunday on it instead of the CRF,at the thought of being bollacked again ,its too tall for me can you lower the rear?? ive put the forks through 20mm(awaits verbal kicking)thanks for acknowledging its a MK 3
