should i break my AR to sell?
should i break my AR to sell?
Hi!
I have owned and loved a 99 AR in white and purple for a year and a half, i ride greenlanes and nip around town when its nice weather!
After travelling for 6 months in Thailand and Nepal, including buying my teen dream bike for £250, a well used '90 kdx 200 :), riding the Himalayas to India on a yamaha 150 and resurecting and trial riding an old rx 100 for £25 total cost for 5 weeks... I'm on my arse money wise, but lived my dreams to the maximum :)
Now, i'm needing flat deposit etc as im getting on my feet again in the uk, i only own the crm thats really worth anything as its been a long trek abroad. Should i part the AR? at the moment the tax and test ran out in april this year, it was put away in october last year.
I have ridden recently off road and all is nearly ok for an mot, the engine felt lightening fast after what i've been used to (i love the torque and heavy flywheel feeling i missed!) and it gets great mpg, apart from a fork seal has gone (have some ready), the brake light needs a fault finding in wiring, and speedo needs putting on (doesn't work so taken off last year) it's ready for the mot. I'ts got ac 10 tyres that need changing for the dirt, maybe 60% worn on both, but fine for the mot. the wheels have a few scratches on and the seat cover a tear also.
Should i part it or fix it? I need a car or bike i can do miles with now, not a toy, no matter how good a compromise that toy is :)
i know i'l regret either soon but am sorting house also and a job at the moment so desperate times, but i'l bounce back up soon!
Some pics..
