Your bottoms definitely out.
Might be better if you took more of the shock with your legs.
But its a trail bike, not an enduro.

Combination, mediocre shock, and wrong technique. Try and get back on the gas before the back wheel lands, this helps take up the landing forces.
What tyre pressure are you running ?

bike yelped/ looks like a whipped puppy with its tail between its legs!
erm reminds me have to check the tyre pressures.. havent for a few weeks
- they were at 18 p.si if I remember...
yeah will have to practice more - cos that area is like a fun easier place to, has a few ramps up onto this plateau... can even get into 2nd gear on some of them - like that one! kind of rare for HK
shame like any where I want to ride its like 45 minutes away. meeting a guy on an AR tomorrow - he's going to show me a place thats only 30 mins from my place...

Re: pic's of my bottom out - suspension overhaul?
yeah an hours a bit far really for a short ride out.. I found a shortish trail with some paths on about 10 mins from my place - but its not got much going for it.- only takes 2 mins to get up the hill if I give some gas!
altho I suppose if I go often enough I could make some loops on a field/ bog up there- and there are some dirt footpaths there just goes between electricity pylons thru the woods - but lots of low branches - hardly used.. and a few bits I daren't do alone yet. like the first bit of the path! up a steep 6 - 8 foot bank which would drop u back into a big rock hole if u didnt get it right
actually all off road riding is technically illegal here......
enforcement of all traffic regualtions is less enthusiastic than the UK tho
like no points for doing 10 mph over the limit...

Yup- you were rubbing your ass in the dirt there Mart! I don't think I have ever managed to 'bottom out' like this on mine and I do a fair bit of jumping- mind you most old CRM's aren't really set up for this abuse.. I put new springs & thicker oil in my front and have a lifting 'dogbone' link on my rear suspension, so its higher.

Your posture is neutral on take-off- which is ok. Need to compress your rear spring more IMHO- to give more resistance- what's it set on? Pump rear tyre up. Give it a handfull just before touch-down (don't open the throttle mid-air: it will send the front up)! -That should tighter the chain and put the front and rear up. Use your legs as a shock-absorber. You shouldn't be hitting the saddle when you land- you should still be almost standing with bent knees around the tank. I don't know how much crap was in your back-pack, but anything heavy or pointed- lose it (unless you want to hurt yourself).

When racing you should set the damping so that you bottom out gently about twice a lap.

Re: pic's of my bottom out - suspension overhaul?
yeah I did some smaller jumps las week - and to my surprise it bottomed out as well - I was standing on tip toes with slightly bended knee as well..
anyways - here's the vid of that day if you fancy a look - you can see where my mate pushes me off a really steep slope at 3:46

Re: pic's of my bottom out - suspension overhaul?
After many hours of researching why the suspension has bottomed out on your CRM, the last video post has confirmed my suspicions.
It seems you must be carrying a large heavy stereo system around in your backpack, as I can hear load music even over the noise of your engine.
If you tell your suspension tuner to account for the weight of the system it may cure the problem
