Front brake slider pin

Post by dazzar250 » 16 Jan 2013, 18:57

Can any one point me in the right direction for a replacement front brake slider pin is there any on E-bay at the moment, not sure which one I require? On the FAQ it states they are 55mm but this is not stated on the E-bay discriptions. Does the CRM250AR 1998 share the same front brake caliper as any other Honda?

Just to add went to replace the front pads and found pin seized, after soaking pin over night, still seized so cut pin in half with a dremel (between the pads i'm replacing any way) then drilled down the center of the pin with small drill bit in dremel this caused the pin to get hot then while still hot got the 5mm alen key and like magic it was finaly free! Yeah it was a long shot if it would work or not, but the pin is no more. Time for a beer to celebrate LOL.

The pins with a hex head on are very good as much easier to get out if they seize.

If you get away without replacing the rubber boots will have been very lucky as well. I always have a couple hanging in the garage as they seem to fit other brands as well.
