Re: Team Mudface Mk3 rebuild
Remember you MUST use a heat gun on the graphics to make them fit in the position they are applied, using the heat gun removes the memory from them and they set in their new position, if you do not they will start lifting in the depressions of the rad panels and wrinkle on the edges of the sidepanels.
After fitting, go back the next day and reheat the edges and smooth them down, they will have lifted slightly in several places.
These are not like the thick motorcross graphics.

Tony, that's a fantastic turnaround from the bike shown in the first couple of postings.
Well done.

Re: Team Mudface Mk3 rebuild
The bike is now 99% complete, with just a few nuts and bolts to sort, the chain to replace and getting the seat cover to fit correctly

Indicators are needed to be in the trail class, otherwise some clubs are likely to bump you up to the sports class.Active Rascal wrote:Indicators though?? :O Haha.

Re: Team Mudface Mk3 rebuild
I thought that may be the case. I ran indicators for ages as I prefer to use them than sticking my arm out, particularly in the dark. People told me to get rid and I didn't listen until eventually I got fed up of replacing them!!

Nice bike Tony
.
I bow to your experience with rallies but I thought you didn't need have to have indicators on. CRMs are so recognisable, don't scrutineers know they are 'trail bikes'
Had to ask - Do you think those holes in the frame guards will make it noticably lighter

I think the holes look pretty good actually. Well noticed Mark on routing the brake house.
Tell you what I think would finish the bike off.....

Or much neater finish and considerably cheaper - 3M Di-Noc carbon vinyl.

Re: Team Mudface Mk3 rebuild
Some clubs don't bother with the indicator thing but some (like WTRA) can get a bit funny about indicators (well one scrutineer) and the Big bike rally challenge regs will soon be out and will say indicators for trail bikes (insider knowledgeknackeredMk1 wrote:Nice bike Tony.
