Clutch slipping at high revs....
Hi all,
Last two rides it appears my clutch has been slipping, but not all the time, and only when at very high revs and on the road, usually at high speed. However seemed worse on my last ride home.
I think the simple answer is take the cover off and have a look.
When the engine was rebuilt (almost 2 years ago now) I had new EBC plates fit, however had problems with it dragging, so put the originals back in. I think these were on the bottom limit of thickness at the time, so chances are they have just worn, and are now slipping.
I'm worried it's because of my hydraulic clutch I've fitted, as you don't get 'free play' as such as this is taken up by the slave cylinder, though it isn't pulling on the actuator until obviously you pull the lever in.
Any advice appreciated, though I expect just take cover off and have a look/measure plates.
Cheers.

As you say, don't forget that the metal plates also wear as well. I goes without saying to pay particular attention to the removal order, and direction of all plates. All things are otherwise as prior? No changes to oil type used?

The steel plates arent cheap though but obviously I'll check these too.
Oil is changed fairly regularly but not done for a good few rides/months now. I use light gearbox oil.
Anyone else experienced this?

Yeah same oil, clutch slipping is recent. To be honest I ride my bike loads, and d tend to abuse the clutch a lot so I'm not surprised.
Time to get the very-near caliper on those plates lol.

EBC, OR, genuine.
EBC, are generally OK, genuine, obviously work well, but at big reds marked up prices. Worth checking though, sometimes the difference is quite minimal.
