gear selector pandora's box`

Post by fishtail » 22 May 2013, 17:05

seems I didnt take very good photo's of this area..

attempting to put it back together a few times now.

but is something wrong? - before I put the arm with the wheel on the end in / I could select gears by spinning the drum.

Image

is this crazy off?

of course the arm from the actual shaft ( that goes thru to the actual foot) isnt on - but thats straight forward...

any one got a photo please?

well put the gear lever on.. and I can change gear.. but the gear lever isnt manually returning to center postion,,

so either I am missing a spring -

or the spring in there aint doing its job?

Have you got the little springs and 'bullet like' caps in position?

Shouldn't that little wheel with the spring on be inside the selector bit? I'm sure it sits on those little shapes inside.
