Hi From England CRM250
Hi guys and gals im from the UK and have just bought this bad boy
Just wondering how does one change the transmission oil on the CRM 250R (1993) and how often do you change it and what oil do you use? How much oil do i need to fill it correctly?
Also does anyone know where I can buy after market items for the CRM, like the seat and some of the plastics.

undo plug on bottom of engine and drain into jug.
I always measure what comes out and fill back up with same amount (600ml in my case (AR)). There is an overflow hole to check level if you want to do it the messy way but if you get 600-700ml out that's about right to put back in.
I do mine around every 200mi due to abuse given and one replaces balance shaft due to lack of oil changes.
ATF is fine and cheap as chips.

Fill to the level hole. You have no idea how much oil is in the engine.

Agree for the first time but once you know that 600ml or whatever it might be is right (measured in to the level hole) if that's what comes out (measured out) that's what goes back in.knackeredMk1 wrote:Fill to the level hole. You have no idea how much oil is in the engine.
