Am I missing something

Post by Beanie »

Hi All,

Did the obligatory front bearings last night on my Mk.2/2.

Noticed the only one that was knackered was the brake disc side, changed both though.

Anyhoo, got me thinking, I've seen other Mk.2's that have a flat disc cover inside the front brake discs carrier (Mine doesn't have one), does anyone know what I mean, and whether this would afford the bearing on that side some protection from the elements, is that what it's there for? The bearing on that side does seem very exposed on mine.

Maybe a part number?

Cheers!

Generous offer and thank you, but after meeting up with some mates with CRM's that have this part fitted, they seem to go through just as many, if not more, front wheel bearings as I do!!

Very much appreciate the offer though.

Cheers!
