Front wheel spacer dimensions

Post by Carpel12 » 12 Oct 2008, 21:14

Just had to do a complete brake overhaul with new discs to get my mk2 ready for an mot and when putting it all back together there seems to be a spacer missing from the speedo drive side. Anyone know the dimensions of it? Think it's a 22mm bore but not sure of the width or overall diameter. Cheers

There shouldnt be any spacers on the speedo drive side, the axle should push out of the fork clamp a little tho. Just tighten the axle bolt and bounce the forks a bit to settle them in the tighten the axle clamp bolts. this should sort it out.

Thanks mate, have just realised my right fork is slightly bent outwards. Unfortunately, whilst trying to push the fork fully onto the axle and tighten the clamp bolts, i've managed to sheer one off. Think i might have to start another thread on what to do about that.
