Pattern levers

Just bought some pattern levers from Leisure Trail. Now they are very good but the Brake lever is to long with the hand guard on. Anyone else had this? I had the stumpy Rally levers on but couldnt get on with them.

Have you tried sliding the brake cylinder up the handle bars.

Forgive me if this is obvious ;)
