Mysterious part...

Anyone ever get it where they set out to do a job, do it, start to put the bike back together and find a part they don't remember taking off?

Any ideas what this is?

It could possibly not be from the CRM, my garage is a tip.. But I don't recall it being there/here/seeing it before!!

Its the case saver for the chain, fit it inside the front chain cover.

Makes sense, thanks a bunch dude. Swear I never saw that when I had the front sprocket cover off haha.
