Re: newbie from east yorkshire
Hi welcome, and sorry to hear you're bad fortune.
Firstly, lets establish if a reliable spark is present.
Get a cheap BR8ES plug.
Are you trying to start the bike on the side stand? there's a switch that won't allow that.
Kill switches are notorious for gremlins.
Right, old plug out, Engage 2nd gear, push the bike around for about a minute, with ignition and petrol off.
New plug in, engage first gear, fuel on , choke on, rock the bike backward and forwards for about a minute again.
Find a kerb or something that allows a full swing on the kick start,
Ignition on, just a whiff of throttle, kick briskly right through, job done?, choke off after about a minute.
They all have their own starting idiosyncrasies, like us their all individuals, it's normally just finding what works for you're little tike.
Repost if that doesn't work.
I may not reply as I'm off for a week, but others will advise.
Mike.
