Yeah, not many people know this, dont think half the police do.

Its only transit size an above, not car derived vans like escorts, berlingos etc

4 years ago I was with my son in a rental LWB Mercedes sprinter on a dual carriageway doing 80mph, we saw a patrol car ahead and slowed to 65 and overtook him.

They pulled me over, 3 penalty points 60 pound fine for 65 in a van that should not exceed 60 on dual carriageways.

Incredulous is an understatement......................respect has never come back for the authority, and I still think of it on dual carriageways, beware around Worcester, like sharks patrolling the sea.

Yup i heard about this a few years ago but people don't believe me
when I tell them , from what i was told if the van uses a car subframe/
Chasie then it stays at th normal car speed limits other wise it's the
lower speeds .
I got caught 3 years ago rushing to get to site , sneeky poo in an
unmarked Scooby , got me on cramra doing 95 but average speed
Was 85 so I got 3 points , he daid if id had sn average speed of 86 I'd
Have been going to court !
My own bloody fault
