CRM Finally died..
Gutted.
Was out on the dunes last Sunday having a play, when old faithful started running rough (backfiring) then finally died. Had to get a tow home off an old DT250MX
For a while now, I've noticed that the neutral light dims itself then glows again, usually a few minutes in to a ride while opening gates etc. The headlight does the same too. Now when it was backfiring, the neutral light was barely visible.
Have checked earths etc, but to no avail..
Early bets?

Reeds wouldn't cause it to die completely. Sounds electrical but could be dirt in carb.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that the sparks have fallen out somewhere!

Sounds suspiciously like the reg/ rectifier has lunched on the PGM.Do the usual checks as set out in F.A.Q.
