Rather than leave spare carbs gathering dust its time for a refurb and ultrasonic clean before wrapping up for stock.

If you had no power due to blocked jets...yes.

Otherwise....no

1st carb.........

Had wrong needle
Broken idle jet
Wrong main jet with funny homemade spacer
Slide back to front, YES BACK TO FRONT.

Carb now just being used for spares for other 2.

And some people wonder when they buy an old CRM why it runs rough.

Just finished building a mk 2 bought as a non runner due to a carb problem, give it a squirt of easy start and bingo it ran at least whilst squirting the can.
Ordered new jets a needle and gasket kit from LT took the carb off for a dig out to find new jets and an immaculate carb without a trace of petrol in it? Petrol pipe into a jam jar no problem there, blow down the petrol inlet on the carb no problem there. The float however was hung down like a cow overdue milking, put the float bowl on and the float valve was being pushed into the closed position. Presumably a previous owners attempt at setting the float height without establishing where the datum points were. Two mins with the pointy nose pliers problem solved,

Always best to dismantle and check condition of parts before you order anything.
