rear shock spring

are the rear shock springs powdercoated from factory?? or some other painting method??

Thought i would ask before i send mine off to powder coat to only find it cracks away or sumin.

and while on the shock subject the rubber bung bit on the shock where can i find a new one ??
rear shock bump stop...

ok ill ask him when he is online,

maybe ill go upto the powder coat place and ask them, they may have some special stuff for springs.
Anyone else powdercoated one before?.

this is gonna sound like anuvver ad..but as Ive got the catalogue, may as well share it!
Off Road Only do rear shock service parts including the bump stop for the CR's and XR's. If you can cross ref the shaft size, Im sure thats the main consideration. They are about £15-£17.
I phoned the Ramblers today, but the bloke on the phone just went on and on....

And the part number (for the seal head kit) is given as 29-661.A which is for the CR250 1998-1990 model.

So, by a process of guesswork and handwaving I reckon you want part number 29-231 from
